Chautauqua Doc Party
Monday, January 31, 2011 at 9:00 p.m., Muskoka Place Gallery, Port Carling

Join us for the premiere of of WNED-Buffalo’s documentary “Chautauqua: An American Narrative” on PBS. This one-hour documentary focuses on the story of Chautauqua, from its beginnings to the present day.

The film’s producer and WNED-Buffalo chief program officer John Grant said the documentary attempts to answer the question that so many Chautauquans find hard to answer: What is Chautauqua?

“When you talk to someone, … they ask, ‘What is Chautauqua?’ and you spend 30 minutes explaining what it is,” Grant said. “Then, when you get done, they ask, ‘Well, what is Chautauqua?’”

For more information on the documentary, visit the PBS website: http://www.pbs.org/wned/chautauqua-american-narrative/

If you are interested in attending the “doc party” at the Muskoka Place Gallery, call the office at (705) 765-1048, or e-mail us at info@artsinmuskoka.com. Free admission!
